for you i will...;)

This is for you sayang....after finishing my hamper project...hubby requested for scones..HOMEMADE scones... did some research on the net...i finally got this lovely recipe by Stephanie Jaworski. For some who already aware of her beautiful recipe website.... Joy of Baking



Bake for 15 mins..



His breakfast with earl grey tea... with love...;)


Best to be served with cream, jam or lemon curd. Here's the secret recipe..;)


Dry Ingredients
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tbsp baking powder
2 tbsp granulated sugar
1/2 tsp salt
1/3 cup unsalted butter, chilled and cut into 1/2 inch pieces

Liquid
1/2 cup milk
1 large egg

Glaze
1 large egg
1 tbsp milk


Instructions
1. Preheat oven to 200c and lightly spray with a non-stick vegetable oil.
2. Whisk together the dry ingredients in large bowl.
3. Combine milk & egg in a measuring cup.
4. For glaze, mix together and set aside.
5. With a pastry blender or your fingertips, rub the butter into the flour mixture until it resembles coarse crumbs.
6. Make a well in the centre of the dry ingredients and add the liquid.
7. Mix together with a wooden spoon, make sure do not overwork the dough. Just mix until dough forms moist clumps.
8. Gather dough together and transfer to a lightly floured surface. Gently knead dough until in forms a ball.
9. Roll dough and cut out rounds and place n prepared baking pan.
10. Brush scones with glaze and bake for 15 mins or until lightly brown on top.
